Our flowers are harvested daily from our own fields right on location. With each order sent we strive to deliver "Ambiance" a special atmosphere or mood which we have created for you.

The growing history of the Floral Ambiance family dates back ten generations to the 1700s in Holland. The family grew crops for centuries in Holland and in 1967 four brothers and their families immigrated to the California Coast. They settled in a small seaside community with an ideal year-round growing climate suited to producing the finest flowers in the world.

In 1971 our farm was started by the two brothers pictured below on eight acres where carnations and chrysanthemums grew. Today we still grow mums however as we've grown our crop selection has expanded to include: cymbidium orchids, gerbera daisies, lilies and other seasonal items. All California flowers grown on the farm are produced using earth friendly, sustainable farming techniques. These farming methods include: hydroponic growing, water collection and recycling, natural pest management and passive heating and cooling. Throughout the years the Floral Ambiance family has created and developed a perfect environment for our hydroponically grown orchids and gerbera crops grown. In addition to hydroponics we reduce pesticide use by using the most up-to-date IPM (integrated pest management) and disease control strategies. We feel strongly about producing a long-lasting quality fresh cut flower while maintaining our commitment to honor our environment and our earth's natural resources.

Floral Ambiance is also set apart as one of the largest growers in the USA of long-lasting exhibition-grade cymbidium orchids. Although we've grown quite substantially over the years and continue to grow and keep current and up to date on sustainable farming methods, there are some things that won't change. Our quality, the family tradition (2 sons pictured to the left) and pride of a wonderful product and superior customer service remains.
